CEREC Crowns are completed in a single office visit!

A tooth that sustains serious injury, such as a crack or large cavity, may require a crown to restore health, comfort, and stability. A traditional crown takes at least two visits to create and place, and the patient must wear a temporary crown. Because we value your time and your smile, Dr. Jost has invested in CEREC CAD/CAM technology. Now we can deliver a ceramic, custom crown designed, milled, and placed in a single office visit. With CEREC, millions of dental patients have enjoyed the convenience of one-visit crowns.

What is the process for a CEREC crown placement?

If you visit us for a ceramic crown, Dr. Jost will take a 3D image of your prepared tooth. Next, he will choose a CEREC Block to match your surrounding teeth. Our CEREC machine will mill a strong, beautiful restoration in about an hour. Dr. Jost can then permanently place the crown during your visit.

If you want a strong, attractive smile, call our dental office today and schedule an appointment with Dr. Jost to discuss the benefits of CEREC crowns. We look forward to treating you and your entire family. Our practice serves patients from Calgary and the surrounding areas.

Is CEREC right for you?

CEREC crowns are made from porcelain. Dr. Jost prefers to place porcelain crowns because they maintain the integrity of an all-white, natural looking smile. However, because back teeth must endure extensive pressure every day, a porcelain-fused-to-metal or all-metal crown may be required. Dr. Jost will consider your unique case and consult you on the best option.
